Not so Still
The series deals with the encounter between the inanimate and the constant movement of life. In the freezing of the moment and the use of still life photography as describing the changing time processes. Still life comes from the words "frozen life", but life does not freeze and has its own flow time as well as my changing body. This is 'Vanitas' for dealing with the physical and emotional changes I am going through when I reach the age of fifty. An age with so many meanings in mind and flesh, of the meeting point between parting and re-understanding and between constant movement and silence.
"By slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt."
(Susan Sontag)
